SKI TOURING

Monte Confinale 3370 mt

One of the most suggestive Valfurva itinerary is surely represented by the Confinale peak one, followed by the Manzina peak tour.
Those are simply perfect for ski-mountaineering, where not only the passion for the skins but even the breathtaking natural landscapes of Zebrù and Forni Valley can grant an unforgettable experience.
Because of its south exposition, in the warmest part of the season, the snow in the first part could be rare.
The Confinale peak first ascent is dated back to 1864, when the English Francis Fox Tuckett defined this mountain the best point to study and admire the Ortles-Cevedale group.
The Manzina one, indeed, was conquered in the 1883, by the typographer Piero Pogliaghi: thanks to him one of the first and most accurate topographic map of the region was created.
