Beyond the traditional cuisine of Valtellina, among the dishes served in our restaurant you can taste a gourmet cuisine featuring Alp cheese quiche as appetizer, chestnut and speck dumplings, rye flour ravioli with veggie and potato dumplings with carrot sauce among the starter, and for the soup we recommend our barley, lentil and apple soup, and the rice, chestnut and sausage soup.

The typical local meals offered by the restaurant at Rifugio Forni are prepared by our two chefs, both truly passionate about the culinary art.

The Food of Valtellina.

Several are the main courses, all of them served with polenta: pig’s knuckle roasted in the oven, jugged deer, deer chop seasoned with wild thyme. Don’t forget our choice of homemade dessert, featuring ricotta cheese and raspberry cake, apple hot cakes, Forni’s bowl.
